A special fundraising evening for Cycling for Gaza

on the 18th of June

at

The Mosaic Rooms, 226 Cromwell Road

from

5.30 to 8.30 pm

Join us for a drinks reception, a photography exhibition by award-winning Palestinian photographer Hazem Watfa, and a one-off screening of Mai Masri's touching documentary, Children of Shatila.

An exclusive viewing of the work of Hazem Watfa, award-winning photographer and journalist currently with the BBC, will start us off at 5.30pm. This will be followed by a brief introductory talk on the work of Cycling 4 Gaza. At 7.30pm, Children of Shatila, Mai Masri's award-winning documentary set in Shatila, a refugee camp in Lebanon, will be screened. This powerful film paints a picture of life in the camps through the eyes of two young children, Issa and Farah.

This evening has been organised by a youth initiative called Cycling for Gaza. Cycling for Gaza is made up of a group of young people who set up an initiative to raise funds for MAP's work in Gaza, and to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis in Gaza. The group will be cycling from London to Paris from the 2nd to the 4th of July in support of the people of Gaza.

All proceeds on the evening will go to MAP, in support of their health projects in Gaza.
